Ever since I was a kid, I have been fascinated by music. To learn about my dad living out my dream inspired me to create a project about Salako.
I flicked through my dad's archives, all of the photos, memorabilia, tickets, AAA passes, copies of Hull daily mail, gathering bits of information to piece together enough content for a set of publications which told the forgotten story of Salako.
My aim in this project was to learn even more about my dad when he was my age, and give him a reason to contact his old mates again in the hope of a reunion gig. I found photos even my dad had never seen, and spent hours bonding with my dad over the thing we love most. I loved seeing my dad smile when I showed him the finished product, therefore I am very proud of what I created.
